We will require you to complete our pre adoption questionnaire before we can proceed. If you really can't email, please telephone Fionna on 07976 538588  & if you get the voice mail, I am probably busy with dogs, so be sure to leave a message with your name, location, landline number & name of the dog you are interested in.

Khobi

Khobi is a 6 year old boy and is believed to be an Anatolian Shepherd. He has found himself with us because his owners were unable to meet both his demands and those of their new baby. Purely because of his size, we feel that Khobi would be better homed with older children, rather than little ones.
He is a good, all round sort of dog, but really needs an owner who will take charge. He is well travelled and used to have a passport. He is as happy in the sun as he is in the snow.
We recommend that before applying to adopt this gorgeous boy, you do some reading up on the breed and their trait
He is excellent with our dogs, but has had difficulty living with just one other dog, tending to try and over dominate it. So an only dog home is desirable. He's not been used to being around small dogs, but he has been fine when meeting ours at the sanctuary, and enjoys living with them. He is not suitable to live with cats.
Khobi has excellent basic obedience and is housetrained.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Khobi
If you are interested in Khobi, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire

Shy at first, he will soon come forward. He loves other dogs. He loves other dogs, and would be best homed with another.for the support he or she will give him.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt China.

Dixxie

White English Bull Terrier bitch.

Dixxie loves people & other dogs, she lived with a family with lots of children and 4 other dogs, including a Bichon Frise. She is typical of her breed & like the proverbial "bull in a china shop". However she seems house trained, has showed no aggression over food either towards us or the other dogs. Dixxie cannot be homed with cats. Dixxie is good in the car. Loves her walks & is determined to  be everybodys best buddy. Dixxie is a very special girl, her previous owner had left her with entrophian & in excruciating pain. Thankfully she has now had surgery & the ulcers in her eyes are much improved.

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely girl.

If you are interested in Dixxie, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

Troy

Alaskan Malamute

(Troy came in suffering from a bad case of fox mange,  of which he is recovering from well - the bald patches are quickly disapearing).

Troy is now 18 months old. Sadly passed about from pillar to post, his last owner had to give him up due to redundancy & not being able to afford to pay his vets bills. Troy is great fun and excellent with other dogs. He seems to be house trained, is good in the car &  not bad on a lead. He is a very big lad, just reaching maturity. He is bang in the middle of his teenage period, so will need good leadership from an experienced owner to keep him on the straight & narrow.

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in Troy, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Inca

Inca is a gorgeous 4 year old Neopolitan Mastiff.

Inca would be best in an adult only household as she has spent several years living in kennels and needs time and support to readjust to normal home life.

Due to her background, Inca has had little exposure to other dogs, but with the right management she is slowly learning to greet them nicely and is even starting to play.

Inca seems to know lots of commands, loves travelling in the car and walks nicely on a lead. She is not destructive at all and is just a lovely girl.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Inca.

If you are interested in Inca, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Elle - reserved

Elle is loving having puppies around to play with!

Elle is a stunning 10 month old saluki cross girl.

Elle has been returned to the sanctuary due to her owner's extended working hours and Elle was unhappy with being left alone.

She is usually FAR too busy to take much notice of attempts at new training, but she walks beautifully on a lead, is very responsive to vocal commands, sits for her dinner bowl and waits to be told to eat, and has made no attempts to pinch food from anybody else.

Elle is fine with our other dogs, although she is somewhat submissive.

Elle likes to climb on furniture, etc if she spots an escape route which will allow her to join you where you are!

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Elle.

If you are interested in Elle, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Albert Stanley Shrimpton

Albert is a very handsome 2 1/2 year old patterdale terrier cross.

He has come in to us because he is not good around livestock.

Albert is full of fun and is very affectionate. He tends to get a bit frustrated if he can see you but not get to you.

He is fine with our other dogs.

Albert is ok in the car, but is a bit of a fidget! He pulls on the lead, so this will need some more work, and his recall is pretty good.

He is very friendly and lively and is great with children.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Albert.

If you are interested in Albert, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Sherlock

Sherlock is a small crossbreed boy of about 3 years.

Sherlock is looking for a very special, patient home with people who will respect the fact that he needs time to settle and to do things at his own pace, without expecting too much of him too quickly.

You can read more about Sherlock on our Special Dogs page.

Zac

Zac is a gorgeous border collie boy of 18 months.

He has come to us as he had been a resident at a local rescue which has now closed down.

Zac can be a bit shy at first and appears to be inexperienced with other dogs, so tends to display defensive behaviour but really doesn't want to fight with anyone.

He is eager to learn and is very affectionate once he knows you.

Zac doesn't seem to be very used to the company of men so is better behaved with women.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Zac.

If you are interested in Zac, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Danny and Sam

Danny and Tara meeting Icarus the cat

Danny and Sam are very handsome 12 year old belgian shepherd/collie cross boys.

These boys have come in to us as their owner no longer had the time to care for them.

Danny and Sam are litter mates and have been together all of their lives. They are very bonded and must be rehomed together.

They are very nice dogs to have around the house - they are both housetrained, easy, well behaved dogs who are not at all destructive.

Danny and Sam are very good in the car and walk nicely on lead.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Danny and Sam.

If you are interested in Danny and Sam, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Tara - reserved

Tara is a wonderful old lady of 15 years and is a collie cross.

She has, sadly, found herself with us due to divorce and having to spend long hours alone. She was becoming distressed by this as she is a girl who loves her cuddles and company.

Tara is a lively girl who still needs daily walks.

She gets on well with cats, children and other dogs.

Tara is just perfect and easy to have around. She is only knee high!

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Tara.

If you are interested in Tara, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to
rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.

Alex - reserved

This gorgeous puppy is now 13 weeks old (although the photo shows him at 7 weeks) and is a collie cross lurcher.

His mum became pregnant and her owners were not prepared to raise a litter of puppies so they signed over Mum just a few short days before she produced a litter of 6 very healthy puppies.

As the puppies have been raised in the care of the sanctuary, they have been well socialised with dogs of all sizes, ages and breeds and have been taken on supervised visits to the outside world.

All of the puppies are strong, bouncy, lively, very outgoing and friendly and will make a wonderful addition to the right families. Alex is the last puppy of the litter.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Alex.

If you are interested in Alex, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com  & we will send you our rehoming questionnaire.
