 Asif

Asif is just over a year old. He is a stunning lurcher boy.

He's had a rough start in life and spent a few weeks on the run. Consequently, he's a little nervous with new people and new situations.
He seems to be housetrained, loves the sofa, mixes very well with other dogs. He's good on the lead, but a little nervous, and is good in the car.
Asif would be best homed with at least one other dog. We have no idea about cats, however there are no reports of him worrying livestock whilst he was living rough.
Asif has been very good with the children he has met.
Further training is recommended.

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Blue

If you are interested in Asif, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

 DELILAH

"Delilah is an 18 month old whippet/greyhound cross and as tall as a small Greyhound, but finely built, with a head like a Whippet

She first came into our care after having been abandoned with appalling mange. She is now beautifully recovered and looks gorgeous.

She is very friendly and playful and is wonderful with other dogs (including the little ones, as long as they are confident, but she is very predatory with small furry animals and cats and will chase given the opportunity.

Delilah walks well on a lead and has good recall.

We feel that Delilah would best be homed with at least one other dog for company."

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely girl.

If you are interested in Delilah, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

 Tikaani

"Tikaani is a stunning 9 month old Siberian Husky.

He is a typical young adolescent husky.

Tikaani will be a delightful companion if he is with people who know what they are doing,

He is full of fun and great with our dogs, but is definitely not a first time dog owner's dog! Hence an experienced owner required.

Tikaani is not suitable to live with cats; suitable to live with other dogs."

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in Tikaani, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire

Roxy

Roxy is a gorgeous lab based crossbreed of about 2 1/2 years.

She was originally rehomed from us as a puppy, but has come back because of family illness and break up. Roxy is fantastic with children and wonderful with dogs, but really doesn't like cats.
She is housetrained and is a good traveller. She can be a bit shy, but is a very loving girl and will be a great companion.
Roxy has proven herself to be a first class house dog, particularly if she is the only dog in the house."

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Roxy
If you are interested in Roxy please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

"GIDDY

"Giddy is a 5 year old ex-racing greyhound.

She is a lovely girl who likes to have fun and be playful with our dogs, but likes to have some peace and quiet as well.

Giddy seems to be housetrained, is good on a lead, but her recall is a little slow as she likes to investigate everything in her path on her way back to you!"

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely girl.

If you are interested in Giddy, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

Jasper

"Jasper is a very handsome 2 year old red merle collie.
He is a strong willed lad and needs an owner who will take charge and give him clear signals of what is expected of him and of what is acceptable.
Jasper tried out as a sniffer dog, but he didn't make the grade as he needed too much handler direction.
He is great with other dogs, his basic obedience is good and he travels well.
Jasper needs to be kept busy so maybe agility or obedience would be a good hobby for him. So an experienced owner is preferred"

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Jasper
If you are interested in Jasper please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

Khobi

"Khobi is a 6 year old boy and is believed to be an Anatolian Shepherd. He has found himself with us because his owners were unable to meet both his demands and those of their new baby. Purely because of his size, we feel that Khobi would be better homed with older children, rather than little ones.
He is a good, all round sort of dog, but really needs an owner who will take charge. He is well travelled and used to have a passport. He is as happy in the sun as he is in the snow.
We recommend that before applying to adopt this gorgeous boy, you do some reading up on the breed and their trait
He is excellent with our dogs. He's not been used to being around small dogs, but he has been fine when meeting ours at the sanctuary, and enjoys living with them. He is not suitable to live with cats.
Khobi has excellent basic obedience and is housetrained."

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Khobi
If you are interested in Khobi, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

Toto

"Toto is a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old malamute cross.
He has come in to us to find a new home because of a relationship break-up and long working hours.
Toto lives well with our dogs, but tends to be a bit pushy and dominant with the other males. He definitely needs the company of other dogs whilst in his new home either by living with a female or by getting plenty of socialisation with both males and females on walks, etc.
He is absolutely fantastic with children. His housetraining is good, he is fine on a lead but will pull if allowed and his basic obedience is good.
Toto is not a dog for a full-time working home as he loves company."

All potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Toto
If you are interested in Toto please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to;

JAKE

"Jake is a handsome 6 year old blue roan Cocker Spaniel. He has found himself with us because he couldn't cope with the toddlers in his previous home. His owners were devastated in having to give him\ up, but felt for his wellbeing it was the best thing to do. Jake is really a very nice dog, he is joy to be with & has clearly been very well  loved & a lot of effort has been put into his care & training.
He is happy living with our other dogs, but doesn't like them in his face, or near his dinner or treats. We feel that he would be best homed as an only dog.
He is very affectionate, but can be a little grumbly if he feels hassled.
Jake is good in the car, is housetrained and walks well on a lead"

"Potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Jake
If you are interested in Jake please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to;

 Rolo

Rolo is a striking 13 year old blue merle collie boy.
He has come in to us due to a change in his owner's accommodation.
Rolo is great with our dogs and everyone he meets. He has a lovely sunny nature  just loves everyone and is such a happy, friendly dog. His housetraining may need a little supervision at first, as he lived in an outbuilding, but he has been clean so far, seeming to know what to do. Rolo walks well on a lead and travels well."

"Potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Rolo
If you are interested in this lovely boy, please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to

Sheba

Sheba is a wonderful, almost 16 year old, German Shepherd Dog.
She has come in to us because her owner is unwell and moving in with family, but there is not enough room for Sheba. Sheba is an absolutely lovely old lady who seems to be in good health.
She  lived with another younger, German Shepherd bitch, (probably her daughter, who is is being rehomed by another rescue). They lived out, but Sheba has taken to the fireside like a duck to water & has been clean &well behaved indoors. She is fine with our other dogs, and has settled in very well with them all. Like most Old Ladies she can be a little bossy at times, and likes to help keep order in the home! All Sheba wants now is her own bed indoors, & a garden of her own to potter in."

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely girl.

If you are interested in offering Sheba a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

                             Brin

Brin is a beautiful 9 month old girl.
She was handed in to rescue due to a change in her owner's accommodation which meant that she had to be rehomed. Brin is obviously a cross, but she has the whiskers, size, coat and docked tail of a schnauzer.
She is very sweet and gentle and we think that she is likely to be fine with cats.
Brin would be good with children, but we feel that she is the sort of dog who would quietly and reluctantly tolerate all sorts of pulling about from toddlers, so we would rather she was homed with children who have better control of themselves to avoid her being put into that position.
She is a good traveller, is good on lead, has an excellent recall and seems to be housetrained.
Brin is also absolutely fine with our other dogs. "Practically perfect" in every way!"

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely girl.

If you are interested in offering Brin a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

                                         Max

Max is a very handsome 6 month old crossbreed boy.
He is great fun! He is bouncy and lively and would make a great family dog.
We expect that he would be good with a confident cat who would tolerate his bouncing.
Max is a good traveller, is good on lead and seems to be housetrained - he is not having any accidents overnight.
He loves toys and likes to play with our other dogs.
Max would possibly enjoy agility or flyball as he is a great jumper!"

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in offering Max a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

Blackjack

Blackjack is a lovely 9 month old patterdale cross boy.
He is very much a terrier, albeit long legged!
Blackjack has a very nice nature and he is good with our other dogs, but tends to be a bit reactive if picked on, and we feel that he would clash at the moment with entire males (unless they were very submissive or very dominant) as he has only just been castrated. Obviously, this behaviour will settle given time to recover from his op.
He is a good traveller, is good on lead and seems to be housetrained.

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in offering Blackjack a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

Lennie

Lennie is a gorgeous 12 month old british bulldog cross.
This poor chap was abandoned at a service station and unclaimed by his owners.
Lennie is, we feel, a bulldog without the typical bulldog "faults" of a squashed snout and curled tail but he very much has a typical bulldog character.
He is housetrained, a good traveller and good on lead. Lennie mixes well with our other dogs, we imagine that he would also be good with cats and he is great with children.
He loves company and would like a squishy sofa to snore on, please.

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in offering Lennie a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

Forrest

Forrest is a fabulous 9 week old staffordshire bull terrier cross puppy.
He was handed in to rescue as the last unsold pup of a litter.
Forrest's housetraining is well under way, he is a very good traveller and mixes well with our other dogs. He is as happy to play mad running chasing games with the dogs as he is to snuggle with them for a sleep beside the fire. He is not showing any signs of being destructive and is not a nippy puppy at all.
Forrest is great with cats and loves people."

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in offering Forrest a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

Rupit

RESERVED

Rupit is an adorable 6 month old Bedlington terrier/whippet cross boy.
He was taken on as a youngster by a family who had lots of children and just couldn't give him the time and attention that he needed. Rupit is a lovely, gentle boy who is eager to learn and keen to please. He loves playing with our other dogs - both small and large. Rupit adores people, is cat friendly, is good in the car and on lead and is housetrained."

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely boy.

If you are interested in offering Rupit a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire.

                                 RUSTY
                                         picture to follow

Poor Rusty has given the best years of her life to her oqner. Sadly she died last week and now Rusty is all alone. Her mum's family, although all claim to be animal lovers, with pets of their own cant keep her.
All she had in the world is a bed, a dirty collar and a toy & 10 tins of meat. So now she has a place at the barn & has parked her bed by mine so she can keep an eye on me.
Rusty has to be over 13 years old, absolutely gorgeous, she looks like a tiny brown fox. I suspect her mum had been ill opossibly with some form\ of senility & Rusty's care has suffered as a result. She is profoundly deaf, has bald places on her feet where she must have been licking due to stress, and is a skinny little mite. She needs a dental, so hopefully once I sort that out she will put on some weight.

We are looking initially for a sponsor for Rusty & hopefully eventually a forever home.

All potential adopters will be home vetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, South Wales to meet/adopt this lovely old lady.

If you are interested in offering Rusty a home, please email us at; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com & we will send you our rehoming questionaire

 MARLEY

Marley is around a year old. A lovely old smooth coated, black and white, typical border collie.

Marley came into us because he was too much for his family to cope with. He appears to be from strong working lines and so is busybusybusy. We feel that he would absolutely excel in agility, obedience or flyball as he is very intelligent and very keen to learn. Due to his busyness and bounciness, we feel that he may be too much for very small children to cope with, although he lived very happily with 3 very young boys- and it was Mum who found it all too much with the 4 of them doing mad circuits & bumps around the house. but he would be brilliant with slightly older children.

Marley has been wonderful with our other dogs.

Potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Marley.

If you are interested in this lovely boy please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to; rehoming.lizziesbarn@googlemail.com

PERO

picture to follow

Pero is 8 months old. A lovely curly, black, wiry coated mix,  probabaly a mix of predominently Border Terrier & Cocker Spaniel, he is a delightful little chap, very loving & full of fun. He gets on very well with other dogs & adores people. He has a lovely gentle nature. Pero belonged to an older lady, who simply couldnt manage such a young dog. He needed more excercise than she could give him, so he took to charging oiff through the front door whneever she opend it. When she did manage a walk, being so full of energy he pulled her too much.

Pero has no major faults. All he needs is a little basic training & proper excersise

Potential adopters will be homevetted and be expected to travel to Kidwelly, S.Wales to meet/adopt Pero.

If you are interested in this lovely boy please send your enquiries, telling us all about yourselves and the lifestyle you are offering to;
